BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (January 10, 2008) — Profile Products LLC and Colbond, Inc. announce they have expanded their existing relationship to give Profile exclusive distribution of Colbond’s Enkamat® line of Turf Reinforcement Mats (TRMs) throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. The agreement will become effective in January 2008. The two companies have shared distribution rights in some parts of the U.S. and Canada since June 2006. They began working together at that time with the goal of developing the most comprehensive erosion control package on the market.

The GreenArmor System features Enkamat TRM with a Flexterra® FGM™ (Flexible Growth Medium™) hydraulically applied infill. Enkamat provides a permanent, lofty and open matrix while the Flexterra intimately bonds seeds to soil and accelerates growth. The unique system protects against elevated levels of hydraulic lift and shear forces while encouraging turf establishment and long-term root reinforcement, growing denser vegetation, faster, in areas where common TRMs have fallen short. The synergistic combination of cost-effective technologies has proven to provide unprecedented levels of design safety.
